I was taking a big risk. I didn’t want to let myself or my family down. Instead of giving up, I put in the work and time to make it happen. On this journey,I have learned so many valuable lessons and feel truly blessed.

It was a Monday morning in October 2019. I was supposed to be heading to work any minute. I could feel it in my heart–this path was no longer right. For 16years,I worked in various education roles, including teaching, coaching,

administration, and even driving the bus. I dedicated so much of my life to helping students, but I felt the impact I made was limited. Despite that, I was ready for change. I sent in my resignation letter and never looked back.

It all started when my husband and I decided to buy our first rental property. It completely changed our perspective on real estate and opened a new door for us. We saw the value in real estate investment and the potential it had to change our lives. From there, I learned as much as I could about the real estate process. Real estate quickly became another avenue to help others in my community build wealth.

My dreams and goals started to shift away from education. After I received my REALTORS® license, I felt a calling to pursue it. The week before I left my job, I could feel something needed to change. Real estate was where I belonged, even if it was a scary transition. My husband was incredibly supportive of my choice.

He understood that it was risky to leave behind a stable career, but he never doubted me for a moment. I saw this new phase of my life as an opportunity to show my kids that they can achieve anything they set their minds to.

As a first-generation American, I have always worked hard to make the American dream a reality. The foundation for my confidence, determination, and strength came from my involvement in sports. I was the captain of my team at Tarleton State University and became a two-time All-American in track and field. After graduating, I applied my strong work ethic and leadership skills to my career. When I set my mind to a new goal, I know I have the strength and skills to make it happen, no matter what obstacles lie ahead.

The transition into real estate was difficult at first. I worked hard to establish myself in the community. But, as long as I spread my love and care with others, I trusted God would see me through this challenging time. Gradually, I grew a client base that trusted me and my professional opinion.

The first year was a whirlwind. By the end of it, I couldn’t believe I had achieved helping 40 families find a place to call “home.”It confirmed that I had what it took to be a great REALTOR®.

From there, everything continued to skyrocket. I now have my own team and continue expanding my business every year. Our common goal is to exceed our clients’ expectations while assisting them in achieving their short-term and long-term real estate goals. I am proud of the legacy I have been fortunate enough to build for my family, but we’re striving to build legacies for the families in our community.

To this day, I still get calls from past students. It is the greatest compliment when they express how meaningful it was to have someone who motivated and encouraged them. It reminds me to continue believing in myself and sharing that positivity and strength with others.

Through this incredible journey, I have learned so much. Now I have the resources to give back to my community more than I ever imagined. By taking a chance, I have been able to transform my life and create something beyond my wildest expectations.

The first listing I ever sold ended with my client and me sharing hugs and happy tears. My client was so grateful for my help and couldn’t believe how quickly we sold her home. It was an indescribable feeling helping someone achieve their goals and start the next chapter of their journey. I treat every client like a close friend and offer genuine care and compassion so they can trust that I always work in their best interests.
